Mile150 is a mobile app development studio based in New York City, United States. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we handle your data.
Data Processing Location: All data collected through our apps is processed and stored in the United States of America. By using our apps, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
We collect information to provide, improve, and personalize our services. The types of information we collect depend on which apps you use:
Important: Advertising data collection through Google AdMob applies only to the following apps:
For these apps, Google AdMob may collect:
Other Apps: Our other apps do not use advertising services and do not collect advertising data.
For our Banana AI app, users may voluntarily select photos from their photo library (or attach an optional reference image) to perform an AI edit or generation. Those photos may incidentally contain faces. Details of collection, use, sharing, storage, retention, and deletion of this face-related imagery are explained in the dedicated Face Data (Banana AI) section below.
This section explains how Banana AI handles face-related imagery. It is the primary disclosure for Apple App Review and users regarding collection, use, disclosure, sharing, retention, and deletion of face data.
Banana AI does not collect Face ID data, TrueDepth facial meshes, facial geometry templates, or biometric identifiers used for authentication. The only face-related data we process is imagery that may appear in photos the user voluntarily selects from their photo library (or attaches as an optional reference image) in order to perform an AI edit or generation. Faces are incidental content inside those user-chosen photos, not a separate face-scan product.
Photos that may contain faces are used only to fulfill the user’s requested AI edit or generation (for example hair, age, makeup, clothing try-on, meet-famous composites, remove objects, restore), display the result in-app, and optionally keep the result in the on-device Gallery. We do not use face imagery for advertising profiles, selling personal data, or training our own models.
To generate results, the selected image(s) and text instructions are sent over HTTPS to AI processors acting on our behalf for that request: Google Gemini API (primary) and, only if needed as a fallback, xAI Grok Imagine API. We do not sell face data or share photos with advertisers. Face data is shared only with these processing providers as required to complete the user’s edit.
Images are processed by those providers to return a result. Processing occurs on those providers’ servers (which may include the United States and other regions where they operate). Successful exports saved in Gallery are stored locally on the user’s device in the app sandbox (Application Support). We do not operate a separate cloud photo album of user face images. Before upload, the app re-encodes images and strips common EXIF/GPS metadata. Supabase is used for category catalog, referral, and push token features and is not used to store face photos or Gallery exports.
Banana AI does not keep a permanent developer-side archive of face photos. Provider retention follows their API terms:
Banana AI does not intentionally retain face photos permanently in the cloud.
Users can delete Gallery items in-app (this removes local app copies). Uninstalling the app removes local Gallery storage. Photos previously saved to Apple Photos are not deleted by removing a Gallery item. Users may also contact nils@steffmann.com for privacy or deletion requests.
Summary: Banana AI does not scan faces for biometrics. Faces appear only as incidental content in user-selected photos used to fulfill an AI edit. Images are sent securely to Google Gemini (and xAI as fallback) solely to complete that request; lasting copies the user keeps remain on-device in Gallery.
